From Fading Mall to Urban Marvel
Stockdale Capital Partners' ambitious $550 million redevelopment venture, centered on the former Westfield Mall in downtown San Diego, is making significant strides as it secures a diverse array of premier retail tenants.
The rebranded "The Campus at Horton" project, undertaken by Los Angeles-based firm Stockdale, spans an impressive 10 acres, encompassing seven city blocks and boasting a total of one million square feet.
While no major life science or office leases have been announced yet, the developer is lining up a roster of new retail tenants, including prominent names like Sprouts Farmers Market, Studio Three Fitness, Salon Republic, Shake Shack, and SweetGreen.
This exciting transformation aims to revitalize the downtown area and features attractive amenities, such as a solar power micro-grid and a spacious 2,200-car parking structure.
As the project's completion is set for the end of 2023 and early 2024, the focus remains on the positive momentum generated by securing these dynamic retail tenants and breathing new life into the urban landscape.
