Excellos Opens Cell Manufacturing Facility

Excellos, a cutting-edge life science company, is making waves in San Diego with its expanded investment in cell therapies and a strategic move to downtown. Founded in 2021, they've already made significant progress in research at the prestigious San Diego Blood Bank.

Now, Excellos is taking their innovation to the next level by opening a state-of-the-art "Good Manufacturing Practice" facility at 1155 Island Ave, covering 36,000 SF.

Led by visionary CEO David Wells, the company is positioning itself for remarkable growth, with their new facility boasting around 6,000 square feet of advanced cell and gene manufacturing capabilities. Equipped with five ISO 7 clean-room suites, this cutting-edge facility will produce groundbreaking products like chimeric antibody receptor-engineered T cells (CAR-T) and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs).

The impact of Excellos' work will extend from local researchers to biotech companies and major pharmaceutical corporations, creating a ripple effect of innovation across the industry.
