Coworking Company Expands in Scripps Ranch
As many have grown tired of working from home, but still want to avoid a commute to the office, John Lee and his company Venture X saw an opportunity. Coworking space has seen growth to 6,200 locations across the US being used by around 1.1 million people as reported by Zippia, an online research firm.
Lee and his idea have expanded to San Diego with their new location in Scripps Ranch after working in finance for 21 years. The firm chose the Scripps Ranch location over the downtown for several reasons. The company believes the city’s metro area is oversaturated with coworking space, and their proximity serves the community that they are in, as well as those in Temecula that don’t want a far trip.
Venture X notes that they are servicing companies losing their long-term leases, while providing amenities for their workers. The company differs from the struggling WeWork, as they are obtaining smaller, digestible spaces that are all independently and locally owned. From the tenant perspective their approach has value, however, the need for large office space is further questioned.
